The 5 star Elounda Mare Hotel lies on Mirabello Bay on the north coast of the Island of Crete. It is the only member of the Relais & Chateaux International Chain in Greece. The hotel has been developed on 30,000 m2 of gently sloping land with a private coastline of 300 metres.
Elounda Mare Hotel is a delight of traditional Cretan architecture and interior design. The typical whitewashed surfaces bind harmoniously with the brown and grey rock walls and the local carob and olive trees. An a la carte menu with local and international dishes is also available. A la carte fine dining is offered alternately at the Yacht Club Restaurant and the Old Mill Restaurant. A special theme event, The Fisherman's Eve, takes place weekly at the Yacht Club. Elegant attire is expected in all restaurants. Guests are required not to wear t-shirts or short trousers in the evening. The Karavia Bar situated in the main hotel, with magnificent views over the Mirabello Bay and Sitia Mountains, is enlivened with soft piano music in the early evening.
The drive from Heraklion International Airport is one hour (75 km). The town of Agios Nikolaos lies at a distance of 7 km and the small village of Elounda is only 2 km away.
